Tyler Duncan

Tyler Duncan is Colibri’s Chief Operating and Transformation Officer, a title that may be a mouthful, but the mission is clear: he accelerates customer-centered strategic progress through operational excellence, transformation, growth initiatives, and acquisitions that reflect Colibri’s mission and values. 

He leads Strategy & Corporate Development and several enterprise operating functions, including Business Operations, Data Analytics, Customer Service, Process Automation, and Livestream Operations. His work focuses on linking strategy to business performance, driving efficient execution, and enabling profitable growth. Tyler is also helping drive a disciplined three-year planning process, ensuring annual operating plans are customer-focused and metric-driven, and establishing a consistent operating rhythm across the organization. 

Tyler has helped build much of Colibri’s operating foundation and planning rigor while stepping into important leadership gaps during periods of significant change. He brings strong judgment, candor, and a steady focus on making the business better. 

When he’s not driving growth and organizational effectiveness, Tyler’s likely on the slopes during his annual ski trip, or trips, if he’s lucky, to Montana with friends and family. Back home, he helps his wife, a true animal lover — some might say “whisperer” — care for their many cats and cuddly creatures. 

Tyler’s favorite Colibri core value is love: “Love is not always easy, but I try to apply it to how I show up, whether it’s with customers, co-workers, partners, or founders,” he says. “Love means being honest and compassionate, especially when things get tough. At Colibri, we keep score and results matter, but we don’t do that at the expense of people.” 

Now in his 15th year at Colibri, Tyler has worn many hats, including general manager, director of real estate, director of marketing, VP of corporate development and finance, and CFO back when the company was just getting off the ground. Before joining Colibri, he worked at Alpine Investors as an associate and analyst intern, where he partnered closely with Mike Duran, now Colibri’s executive chairman. 

Tyler holds a BSBA in Accounting and Economics from The Ohio State University.
