In her role, Jennifer helps the Colibri real estate team create exceptional learning experiences for students and employees to fulfill their professional ambitions. “For me, it’s important to do work that’s meaningful to the lives of other people,” she says. “That’s the kind of lens I have in this role.” As president, Jennifer makes sure the Colibri real estate ecosystem provides education that furnishes high completion rates, student confidence in their future, and an engaging learning experience. Concerning her favorite Colibri core value, Jennifer’s is curiosity: “When I know the ‘why,’ I can really get behind something,” she says. “The project or mission becomes more passion-driven and purposeful. You really understand what you’re working toward.” Prior to Colibri Group, Jennifer spent 10 years in higher education with Capella University and, later, at Strategic Education, Inc. Before a career in higher education, she held leadership positions in the retail industry for 16 years at Dayton-Hudson, Coach Leatherware, and Target.com. Jennifer currently serves on the Boyd Midwest Family Foundation’s scholarship committee. In previous years, she was a chairperson and board member for Bloom Early Learning and a member of the National League for Nursing Foundation’s advisory council. Additionally, she’s been recognized nationally for her work in women’s leadership initiatives. She holds a Master’s of Science from Capella University and a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration/financial management from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota.
